In order to be eligible for this level of scholarship, you will need to note the following points;
1) You will need to obtain SAT scores in the range of 1450 - 1600 to be eligible for consideration (this varies from school to school)
2) You will often need to be in the top 15% of your graduating high school class as academic records are a major determinant in the awarding of these scholarships
3) You will in most cases, need to fill out a separate scholarship application that requires a detailed account of your abilities and most times, an essay on a specified topic is required as part of the scholarship application.

4) More often than not, you will need a glowing recommendation from a high school teacher or counsellor who can vouch for your exemplary conduct and the ability to excel in a tertiary institution
5) In order to retain this scholarship, you'll need to maintain a certain GPA (in most cases, a 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA).
